Safety It is important that everyone who uses Bike Park Ireland takes note of the following Health and Safety advice: Mountain Biking, like any extreme sport, is dangerous, includes substantial obstacles, which can be physically testing. There is a risk of injury and death when undertaking such activities. Trails are graded according to ability; ensure that you are competent to ride each trail. If in doubt start on the easier trails and work your way up. Unless you know the trails don’t jump blind, this is how most accidents happen. Follow the Mountain Bikers Responsibility Code. All participants under the age of eighteen will need to provide a signed consent form from parent/guardian. A parent or guardian must accompany riders under the age of sixteen. You must ALWAYS wear a helmet. Knee pads and other protective gear is strongly recommended by Bike Park Ireland. We also strongly advise you wear gloves, body armour and a neck brace.. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A HELMET YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO RIDE IN THE PARK OR USE THE UPLIFT SERVICE. Read and adhere to all advice signs while using the trails. Walking trails are present within the bike park. Riders must not cycle along these routes and should at all times remain on the marked mountain bike tracks. Bike tracks cross footpaths within the woods, these crossings are marked and extreme care should be taken at these points. No responsibility is accepted by the organizers for any injury sustained or caused while crossing footpaths. Riders must not push up the downhill tracks. It is your responsibility to ensure your equipment is fit for purpose.
